Cinema Diverse, the Palm Springs Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, will present cinema from around the world, and bring together film artists, film lovers, and industry professionals in a celebration of film and video that reflects, informs, enriches, and often transforms lives.

Celebrate the inaugural year of CINEMA DIVERSE! An amazing Festival with 16 film programs, including features, documentaries and shorts that showcase the best in LGBT filmmaking. This year’s festival takes place from Tuesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 27, 2008, at the Camelot Theatres, 2300 E. Baristo Road in Palm Springs.

 CINEMA DIVERSE: The 2008 Gay & Lesbian Film Festival • Palm Springs, is dedicated to advancing and further strengthening our diverse gay community through the establishment of a world-class forum that presents lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender cinema from around the world.   We bring together film artists, film lovers and industry professionals in a weeklong celebration of motion pictures that reflect, inform, enrich and often transform lives.

Cinema Diverse is a program of the Palm Springs Cultural Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education, to nurturing community-wide participation in the cultural arts, and to sponsoring scholarship awards for deserving individuals.
